Is it the 44mm or the 44.7mm bore?

Open up the muffler (5 minutes on these) . Tune the carb to 14k - more if you are a betting man - after taking the H limter cap out, slicing off the tab and putting it back in.

Don't try to turn it to 14k with a 24 inch bar - it will be too lean.. Put a 16 or 18 on it for that purpose, then leave it alone with your longer bar.. 24 is kind of big unless you are just limbing.

If you rebuild the carb, the WTE lever arm is NOT set level with the top or the bottom of the body - 25 thou down from the top.

carb

this has no high speed carb:angry:

44 mm
thanks for the info andy i hope to buy a good 26 carb soon. i would like to up the speed a tad say 13500:)

No H On a 260 pro??? They only made a few with the 403.. unfortunately you got one!

You can fit a WT194 - swap comp end cover over (availabe new at a decent price) right in and get great adjustibility. A WT426 will also work, but with comparatively limited adjustment.

I had mine done by Dave Neiger along with the WT194 suggested at the time, by Andy. Along with Daves woods mods, it a scrappy little devil and I run an 18" Stihl Rollomatic .325x.063 with RS Chain. However, he did an MS440 for me it the same time and it seems possessed by demons, even at Dave's own admission and he's a rather humble individual. I love to pick it up when I want to make a lot of noise and try to convince my buddies I only did a muffler mod on it! I use a 20" Stihl Rollomatic S
.375x.050 and RSC chain. I tend to like the shorter bars over all.

Timberratt - that is the WTE carb.. the red limiter insert is the H screw.

Yes, resize you picture if you want anyone to look at them.
