I purchased an MS 271 chainsaw in June 2021. The forward bolt used to secure the bar does not sit flush to the case ie it seems that the forward bolt may be a size too large for this machine . Thus , the ends of the bolts are not aligned resulting in it being difficult to get the cover on and off. It also means that the securing nuts are not evenly applying pressure to secure the bar against the case because the bar is therefore not evenly flush to the case allowing for movement , and in extreme cases, for the chain to come off the bar. Needless to say , that is not only not good for the chain , the bar or the saw causing great expense due to shortened life-span , but is also extremely dangerous .

Has anyone else experienced the same problem with a Stihl MS 271 ?

And check for damage where it threads into the bar mount area.
hopefully its just unscrewed, but when they move like that, usually its from the threads being damaged in the bar mount area/ plastic tearing etc.

was the saw stuck and you leaned on the saw to get it out ?

or loaned it to someone else, who did that ?

The stud is "unscrewed" a couple of turns.
Tighten two nuts on the end of the stud, then tighten up the stud.
If it is stripped, go get an oversized stud from a Stihl dealer.
Clue....
If you have somebody install a "captive nut" sprocket cover on a regular style stud, it galls the threads and can cause that.....
