Stihl ms 290 carburetor

Could somebody explain or route me to the thread that explains how I can adjust the carb settings beyond the "factory settings." I adjusted the hi-idle (full throttle) screw to wide open, and the saw seemed to be lacking a bit in power. After running awhile (10 - 15 minutes on a 55 degree day) the saw ran better, but I was still not terribly impressed. Even cleaned off the air filter, and I couldn't really tell much a difference.

Too cheap to buy the cap removal tool, I removed the limiter caps from my MS290 using two sheetrock screws (don't screw 'em in too far, you'll wreck the adjust screws). Sliced the limiter spline off of new limit caps and installed 'em. The process of removing the original limit caps will destroy 'em.
