Usually a simple problem most often caused by someone not aware of what they did. Switch could be messed up, a wire pinched or broke. Sometimes the spark plug wire cap is pulled apart and its not visable the wire is not clipped on the spark plug.It wont even pop with gas in the carb. There is the reason I try to stay away from home owner saws.
Sorry, didn't mean to be defensive. You all were right, took off that side and pawls just fell out. Sadly I was so excited I wasn't as careful as I know to be..... yep. Recoil spring flipped and that's how I spent the afternoon. But it runs great, Chinese carburetor fixed issues and I'm cutting wood today. Thanks for your help.Starter is short for recoil starter
