Yep. I've done that. I'm just an old airplane mechanic but this is beyond me without pullin it apart. It's been a good old saw. And I thank you for your replyBottom end full of mix?
Pull it over w/o plug and see if it pukes up mix.
Pull the muffler and see if there is scoring.Yep. I've done that. I'm just an old airplane mechanic but this is beyond me without pullin it apart. It's been a good old saw. And I thank you for your reply
It turns over with ease, piston doin what it should and all that with the plug out.It was running well 2 years ago?
How about checking the flywheel key?
Roy
Dont make sense really! You sure not flooded? It turns over with ease, piston doin what it should and all that with the plug out.

I'll probably be doin more than that. I'm no 2 stroke man and the muffler is where I plan to start but I highly doubt the scarred piston. Whatever it is, I ordered a gasket set.Pull the muffler and see if there is scoring.
No it don't. When I get it ironed out I'll let you know lwDont make sense really! You sure not flooded?

A healthy 026 has 160 or so pounds of compression, they can be quite difficult to pull over. Nature of the beast so to speak.Saw has been sitting for 2 years. Can't hardly pull it through because of compression. No problem when I pull the plug. What's my fix?
Thankx
Went out and messed with it today. Only thing I can figure is the fogging oil which I put in when I parked it increase the compression enough for me to be stupid. I had put some more in the other day so compression was probably maxed and I'm getting old. The ol' girl blue some serious smoke when she fired up. You fogot to mention that but Its good to hear its running. Leave the oil out next time.Went out and messed with it today. Dribble some wd-40 in there and let it sit. Thats assuming the piston, and rings, are free to begin with. WD flushes easily. The cylinder will thank you.Saw has been sitting for 2 years. Can't hardly pull it through because of compression. No problem when I pull the plug. What's my fix?
