I can't believe anyone could successfully sue a chainsaw mfgr. Eevryone knows this is a dangerous tool. My dealer told me this mindset iswhy Stihl stopped making bow bars for us southern folks. I personally feel t pick up a saw is to risk severe injury, and anythig the mfgr. can due to mitigate that is great, but they should only be held liable if they knowingly provide a defective product. But the real world mindset is so much about wanting to amke an easy buck...It's depressing...... if you want an Oregon Bar your best bet might be to find an Oregon dealer in NZ, there are a bunch of Oregoin bars for Stihls, just what Grande Dog quoted you will fit. Go here and talk to sales and see where you can buy in your country www.oregonchain.comMost of my local Stihl dealers stock Stihl and Oregon stuff, but will only sell Stihl bars for Stihls and use teh oregon for other saws. The chain too is usually all Stihl.

I had never heard of any of that. I guess my stihl dealer does only carry stihl bars but I asked for a 20" chain and he throw me a pre cut oregon chain in a box. He has a whole shelf of them. I asked if I could get a stihl rs chisel chain and with a grumble he cut one for me. By the way he cut it the wrong size, maybe that was his way of getting back at me.
