This morning I did a no charge job for an old fella in the neighborhood. Drop one dead yellow oak, and cut up another that fell down. I was gassing my 038MagII, and he says he has an old Stihl, Do I want to see it? Sure says I, whatcha got. This is no s@#!, he went behind his shed into a pile of junk, rooted around under some sheet metal, and pulled out an old 026. No air filter cover, probably the worst looking saw I have ever seen. I would never have bet it would run, but he proceeded to yank the cord and vroom!, off it went.
He did say it dies in the cut, and he does not use it anymore. I offered to buy it, and he says no way, I am gonna get it fixed one of these days! God only knows how many years that saw has lived OUTSIDE in a junk pile.
