Mikey Forrestor was the one who got disqualified for the rule infraction of not having his hands entirely on the wood. That cost Mikey a trip to the finals.
Cecil's doing very well. He has great skills in the chops and he's coming around in the sawing events. I can remember about five years ago when he couldn't decide which hand to chop. Seriously, his swings, both left and right, were equally strong and equally accurate. My thoughts are he will be Canada's top axemen within the next two years. Arguably, if you take Mitch Hewitt (from B.C. via Queensland - winner of the 15" world title at Sydney) out of the equation, there's a good argument that Ceceil is the best axemen from Canada.
