Chipper:
I was reading Pirone's Tree Maintenance and it refers to another book for determinig the value a specific tree adds to a piece of property. The book is Guide for Plant Appraisal. I do not have that book, but Pirone's reports that the specific value of a tree can be calculated using the Guide, tree size, tree species, tree condition and location. It also takes in account what replacement value would be for that species. This is not a calculation of lumber value, but what value the tree may bring to a property. Perhaps, if your service improves the condition of the tree, you could use the formulae to come up with a ball park. I can not swear by this, but I will be picking up the Guide the next time I go to the library. For removal, all this will do is show you how much Less the property is worth after the job.
