ok, my cutting season has ended until my shoulder heals (about 2-3 months I hope) should I drain the gas mix and bar oil from my saws? I run Echo pre-mix which is says has a gas stabilizer in it and a touch of SeaFoam.

Id run the saw dry but leave bar oil in saw, no need to drain it imo unless it leaks...

I just wanted to post a message here, because I have been told in the past on this board that my method for storage was incorrect.

I have put stabil in the gas, and then run the tank dry.

In the case of the chainsaws, there is stabilizer built in to the oil mix.

Today, I tried to start a generator that was put away in that exact fashion.

I filled it with a fresh tank of premium gas, and pulled the cord,
it fired up on the first pull, and ran perfectly load and no load for a half hour.

The exhaust smoked a little for a minute, and then ran just like new.

It had been in storage since 2002.

I fixed you grammar again.:bang: :ices_rofl: :ices_rofl:

Thanks Gary. I was gonna, but....

Yeah I am usually the first to point out the search because it hardly ever gets used, and it's there for a reason. It's not that it's a bother to answer the question, it's just that I want to point a guy in the right direction and help him out. If it was a bother, I woudln't reply at all. It's alright, I've been called on before for pointing out the search.

So I'm predictable....try a search for "search" and you'll see that I am! :hmm3grin2orange:

So am I wrong to help out a guy by pointing out a viable feature on the site so he can gather more info?

(And I took the liberty of correcting your grammar for you. ;))

Thanks guys, What would I do without you ?
I did a search on grammar, seems to be a big topic among chainsaw users.
