Thanks!

I don't have a tree service. Farm mostly, and clear fencelines and such on the side.

If I hear of any of the local guys looking, I'll pass thier # on.
It wont take much though. Most of the local guys are small and there aren't enough of them.

we have had some major wind here as-well. waiting for the sun to come up, see what it looks like, we have had several large storms this year, I'm thinking this wind storm may finish off some of the trees the earlier storms busted up and pushed around...............WOW...............as I type this, the wind cranked up to maybe 50mph, wish I had a wind speed meter! I think all of us in the Midwest are going to be a little busy this fall if this keeps up, good timing for Christmas!

Yeah, that storm that got you folks in Iowa is combining with another one over the lake. Already have some wind but not too bad.

It's gonna be a good week for Generator and Saw chain sales.
Bad week for Insurance dudes.

Sounds like y'all need to get hydrated and fueled up for a long day or two.

Good luck!

The Lake is kinda cold for Swimmin' LOL!!

AS soon as I hear one of the tree companys I know is looking, I'll pass along your #.

Illinois is getting a good blow right now too.
Ya might not have to travel too far.;)

We are getting 50mph gusts here! We had two big storms this season, this wind I'm sure will get some weakened trees! The silver maples still have most of their leaves so far!

Most of the nasty cells have moved towards the east.

Lotsa Tornado reports.

Looking at the National radar though, the line of ugliness looks as bad or worse down in Ohio through Kentucky.

Just high winds and gusts flapping the trees now, and for the next 30 hours or so. It's gonna be a pretty big mess.

Stay safe!

I'm in flint and we're getting rain and winds. I'll be busy all week, but so will every other swinging saw. Most guys here are unqualified to cut potatoes, let alone trees. Personally, I like not having a million storm chasers up here for a little wind. But whatever. Its not going to be as bad as everyone says.

Well it came thru a little after 1:00 here in Seneca county. Was chisle plowing wheat stubble about 1/4 mile south of the grain set up. Rained so hard that I could not see it, lasted for maybe ten minutes and was gone. Was moving at about 60mph they said on the radio.

Samething here in Lorain county . It hammered through at bout 2 o'clock . for bout ten minutes then light rain for a few hours . I know somebody who saw a water spout over the lake . All I know is I haven't got any calls for storm damage..atleast not yet. Maybe some in morn for non emergency stuff .

For all the squaking and warning the weather people put out pardon me but it didn't do ####.

On the bright side. No reports of fatalities or serious injurys.

I went into town this afternoon and there's an odd branch out of place and not much else. The Gang at the hardware/saw shop only sold one saw and no generators.

Kazoo had some spotty damage, same in Grand Rapids.

Did anyone see the reporters on the piers blabbing away? LOL!!!

National coverage and the carnage didn't how up to greet them.

Still gonna be windy as all hell for a couple days and the local guys will stay busy, but nothing they can't handle.

So much for trusting the weather guessers predictions of apocalyptic weather..

Stay safe!

Didnt do jack here either, thought maybe there would be some uprooting, but we had no rain for like 30 days until this, ground was too hard. The majority of trees have dropped already here, so good for the tree's! They missed a bullet, I'm still pretty busy, but would have like a storm too kick it up a notch!

same in Grand Rapids.

It was joke up here at work. Tornado warnings went off twice so we were all forced to the basement. Little did anyone at work know, that Kent country only has one system, they can't set it off for different parts of the county.

So no tornadoes but all the sheep were going nuts :censored:

well, a kid got killed at Notre Dame, filming a football event when his lift fell (blew over). He had no business going up, and didn't know better.

50mph+ winds and he was put up in a lift........someone needs to be prosecuted.
Was my son, someone would die for that...
