I'm scheduled to take the exam in mid July, and am looking for suggestions on study material. Besides the study guide I mean. Books I can find at the library would be great.

Anyone have a study guide that I could borrow or buy?

Pick every brain you can. I really enjoyed watching 2 of our guys prepping for the test. That is all they lived and breathed...both passed first time. Do you have a pre-test course up there? Best of luck to you and congratulations on your efforts.

Ah, pre test courses. When I took mine, I was a foreman, and all the GF's (and me too) were scheduled for the weekend class, but the pricks didn't tell me. It was so sweet when we tested that tuesday, and all the a holes failed and I passed. Must be a great course, just read the guide, and as many of the listed books as you can get ahold of. Good luck

If you look at the end of each chapter in your guide it says....Other Sources Of Information. It will give you a list of great books. But you cant go wrong buying Harris Richard W., Arboriculture: Integrated Managment of LandscapeTrees, Shrubs and Vines
if you read it you are sure to pass!!!!

Harris'Arboriculture is good, Shigo's books are good, But---The single best source I know of is the Arborist Certification Study Guide!
