Yes, again. I know there has been a lot of back and forth on this idea before, but this is a specific one. I have a Rayco RG20HD handlebar machine currently running stock SuperTeeth. Now that it needs new teeth I wonder if I should switch to GreenTeeth or continue with SuperTeeth. I have no experience with GreenTeeth, but of course advocates and detractors for them abound. They look simpler and less expensive to me, and clearly seem to work well on low horesepower machines by other manufacturers. I would very much value your thoughts on this.

Thanks.

I just order a full package of Green Teeth for an rg1625 I just bought. Don't waste your time on those old things. Baileys has them on sale right now.

I have been running greenteeth for a couple years now and am very pleased with all aspects of using them. After the initial set up cost (buying pockets) you will save money and time plus I think they cut better.

Thank you both for your kind advice. I think Greenteeth is definitely the way I will go. It looks cost effective and seems to get the job done well.

I think I will just order them up from Bailey's and get it done before the snow melts here. I sent a message to their website but did not get an answer from them. Possibly they are like so many other suppliers that do not answer their email and I will have to call them.

Update

Tried Bailey's since the price seemed to be right. Went through the whole order process only to find that they do not have the bolts in stock to bolt the things on. Apparently they will not have them until the third week in April. Will have to seek my greenteeth elsewhere. Is that usual for them?

Perhaps I should have ordered anyway and gotten some bolts somewhere else? How could they have the kit with no bolts for it? Very odd.

That happens sometimes. Green Teeth themselves are very good at keeping up with demand.

I get the nuts at tractor supply, but they are standard u can get them just anywhere..

Bob....

Just ordering from Treestuff. Bailey's was a bust and did not answer email questions, a red flag for me in suppliers. I looked at Treeman Supply, but they are not open today (?). Treestuff answered my email inquiry within minutes and gave very knowledgeable answers to questions. They look like good guys to deal with, and seem like a good reliable supplier that is going to be there when a fella needs them.

Thanks to you all for your help, especially the PMs giving me guidance on suppliers.

Done Deal

Have the new GreenTeeth installed. Really was a pretty simple job for my little Rayco RG20HD. Luckily the old teeth came of easily, and putting the new ones on was a breeze. Have yet to try them out on a stump, but the last of the snow is going and I will soon.

I got my parts from TreeStuff. Luke was great to deal with, free shipping, and everything was here in a couple days. Excellent service, everything was right, no backorder, fast delivery. Best of all good personal service by someone who seemed to know the gear.

Thanks to all for the help. See you in the trees.

I have three of the diamond wheels for sharping greenteeth. They are the same wheels that you can buy from treemansupply. I sold my grinder with greenteeth so i dont need them anymore. These are NIB. Asking $100 plus $5 shipping. Compare that to treemansupplys $160 each.
