Stump grinder

Hey All,

I am looking (in the near future) to buy a used stump grinder. I have never bought anything used from any place but a dealer so I am trying to stick with my rituals and go to a dealer.

Does anyone know anyones good as far as New York (Any part of New York), as east as Rhode Island, and as north as the tip of Maine?

There is a Vermeer Dealer in Jersey...I spoke to him about a used grinder up there a few weeks back...Prices were reasonable. They had several in stock...Look em up...I think its listed as Vermeer Northeast

Used mackine from a dealer

I bought a used sc252 from Vermeer Northeast........I thought i would be better off going to a dealer but i was wrong. bad bearings, cutter wheel worn, and a few little things. I was told when i called with my parts list that they do not look over the trade ins becuse it cost sales dept to much to have service work on them. i did get 10 percent off on the parts.......yippie

Iv'e had very good experiences with Vermeer Northeast in castleton (near albany). I bought a used BC 1000 from them which has worked great. They had a deal all set up for me to buy a SC 252 but the guy selling it backed out. So they put me in touch with a guy selling one with 82 hours on it. Perfect machine. Pretty much brand new. Never even seen a drop of rain. Has over 200 hours now without a problem. So Iv'e had good luck with vermeer northeast..... Mike
