I was contacted and asked to remove stumps.

1st - No you can't use a stump grinder.

2nd - No you can't use tree shears or saw (bobcat).

3rd - Chain saw must have 24 or 28 bar.

4th - Must have 1 truck & 2 men.

5th - All you have to do is flush cut!

$0.45 per inch (measured diamater).

Anyone Interested?
 
Think you better read a bit more of the fine print on that work order before signing up for that one.
 
I talked with a contractor friend of mine about doing the same thing... Same requirements, he wasn't sure if he'd get that part of the job, he has several trackhoes and a bunch of dump trucks down there picking up stumps and such for uprooted trees... Seems like he was talking more money?? I mean if you think about it, a 60" stump, which would surely have some root flare making it more than just one simple cut, and you'd make $27.00?? That doesn't seem like a whole lot for the given situation.
