Brothers saw a ol Ryobi. Well he let someone else sharpen it and really tore it up. So I had a spare 18" sthil chain I was gonna throw on it cant get the chain guage to go in there. His pitch is 0.325. Dont know a lot about saws trying to help my Brother.

The gauge, or thickness of the drive links, (bits that fit in the bar groove), is not correct.
say you have a .325 0.050 bar, but your trying to fit a chain that is .325 0.063

need the correct pitch, ie .325, or 3/8 or what ever it is so it fits the drive sprocket and the bar tip sprocket, and you need the correct gauge.
