I AM working on putting together an agreement for working as a sub-contractor in Florida. That means I will be working as a sub under the local tree contractors there, doing stump grinding. I Am particularly interesred in having them be responsible for marking underground utilities and Am also concerned about getting paid! Does anyone out there use a standard or custom form they would be willing to share with me. Any other suggestions are appreciated.
Thank you.

Good points Rocky,
As an old fiend and lawyer of mine used to say... never do partnership with anyone you wouldn't trust on a handshake.. And getting it in writing is mostly about clarity and also partly about professionalism and potential liability.
I remember working as a sub for a friend who runs a large landscaping outfit. We've shared many meals and played music together etc... I would trust him with any amount of maoney and vice-versa... he came out with six or so pages of agreements, three places to sign etc... I though... this guy has it together, runs a tight ship!

Murph,

I'll e-mail you a copy of mine. Send me a check for $100. That's about 25% of retail.

I can send you a copy of my Guide to Gullible Gumps for 4 easy payments of just $19.95. It could save you millions of dollars! :D

Does that include tax Nick?
Murph make sure that payment is due upon completion of work, none of that 30 day krap. Also add interest on overdue accounts just to move any slo pokes in A/R along.
