Hi guys/gals,
I need a suggestion for a small tree or a tall tree-like bush for landscaping close to a house, like around 5 feet from the house. The tree will NOT be in full sun. It will be in part sun, part shade.
It would be nice if it kept its leaves all year, but I would prefer to stay away from the typical cone-shaped evergreens like arborvitae.
What would be perfect would be something like a sweetbay magnolia, but I am afraid that would get too big for something so close to the house.
Any help?
