Sugihara Chain is made in China not Japan

I'll still buy Sugihara's bars which are made in Japan.

With Echo Shindaiwa, Maruyama, Makita's battery saws, Tsumura, and Sugihara, The country of Japan really ought to have their own saw chain manufacturing- it could be a joint venture between all the above Japanese companies.
 
Could you copy and paste the pertinent part of the email? I see a jpeg icon not a picture. I just got two loops of Oregon 91px that came in the new smaller boxes that say made in China on the box. My feeling is the rivet/bushing (that is supposed to be hardened at the bushing and softer at the rivet) and the cutter (which may be stamped in one place and plated with the hard chrome somewhere else?) are the most important parts. Not confident where it says made in applies specifically to these items or just the spinning up of the chain into a long thread or rope like form factor.
