A week ago, or so I posted that my Super EZ wouldn't start, it had spark, seemed to be getting fuel, has great compression, and I know it's getting air...everthing it needs to run.

Today I reassembled the saw with great care, and some new gaskets, replaced the badly cracked fuel line, and installed a new spark plug - now it starts but wont run.

If I pull the saw over a few times with the throttle lock on and full choke it will start to try to run, I then put the saw on half choke, give it a pull and it burns off all the gas it has sucked through the carb, but then stops. Just before it stops if I'm quick enough I can put it back on full choke, then quickly half choke, if I do this quick enough I can keep it running for a while, but it will not keep running on its own no matter what I do.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong with this saw? I believe it either needs a new carb, or a good carb rebuild. Is their anything else I can try?
:bang:

i would try to tear into the carb and see if the diaphram is hard if it is at all it might need a rebuild heck rebuild kits usueally don't cost more than 15 bucks and even if it isn't the problem then at least that is one more thing to not worry about for 10 more years.

Does anyone know where a guy can buy a carb rebuild kit, or perhaps a whole new cabr for an older saw like my Homelite Super EZ?

I thought of replacing the fuel filter, I just removed the filter from the end of the fuel line, I know it doesn't seem like a good idea, but I wanted to remove that from the problem, It still did the same thing - trying to start, but won't run. I'm leaning toward a carb problem.
