Does anyone where suspenders on their saddle? I was curious if they were worth it or just get in the way.
Jared:cheers:

I think they're worth it. They're a must wear for my Glide and a little added comfort on my Master II. They never get in the way and sometimes it's handy to hang some small stuff on the cross strap in front; whistle, 2-way radio, etc. They're pricey for what you're getting but having the saw pull my saddle down makes me nutty.

I work with a master III and I know what you mean about the saw. I looked at the glide how do you like it? I didn't think I would like my biner moving all over on that rope. I think I may get a set.

Bought suspenders for my tree autria when I first got it but have removed them. They were not the bungee try suspeders so when you would sit down the suspenders would go loose. Then if you tightened them up while you where sitting and then tried to stand up the suspenders pull up too much. If I can find a good pair I would definitly go back to them.

The Glide's a little more comfortable if I'm going to be in it all day. I know alot of guys don't like the Glide but I'm happy with mine with one exception. For some reason, when I wear it, it looks like I put a couple of throw bags in my pants. 'Always draws huge laughs from the ground guys and if I have to talk to the customer I usually hold something in front of me so I'm not embarrassed. If it's a tree that I'm going to have to work in and around I'll wear the Glide. If I'm just going up to pop the top off I'll generally wear the Master.

I have the Buckinghams. They've held up pretty well and haven't stretched.

Small Wood ,do you use the bucks with the BII by chance? If so how do they attach?

I have a Glide and I have the $5 suspenders from the local home improvement store. They work great! I wish I would have done this years ago. I have not had any problems yet. They make putting the saddle on and taking it off so much easier. I dont even notice when I have a saw on my side either.

I've got the bungee ones on my Buck traverse. They are not suitable for fall arrest but they really keep everything in its place

Got 'em at the local Arbo supply store, can't remember the manufacturer. Bungee may have been a bad way to describe them more like 'elasticky'. Anyway they are grey/black, I'm sure one of the gearfreaks around here can tell you where to get them.

try hanging a 28 year old Husky 61 off your saddle and see how aggravated you get after about ten minutes. I have since switched to an over the shoulder gear sling for rockclimbing gear. Takes the load off the saddle and waist and lower back! I dream for the day though when i get to hang a Husky 338XPT off my saddle

hey who gets aggravated in a tree anyhow

I'm going to go with a Master with suspenders for my next saddle, just because I climb with a lot of gear quite often. My current MII is 6 years old and will not stay up any more.

I just ordered a Buckingham suspender to hook on my Blair ultra lite. Saddle is very comfortable but the velcro waist is starting to not hold so it needs some help staying up. I find especially in the winter with all the layers of clothes it is harder to get the belt to tighten up and stay put. Suspenders should help.
