SW Idaho Juniper cutting?

I am interested in cutting some juniper in owyhee county, ideally as close as possible to the field office in Marsing or around Silver city/Murphy. Anybody know a good area? I also want to know if they can be cut live or do they have to be dead? I've called the field office and didn't get much info.

Not sure about over there, but I know the closer you get to the Utah boarder the forest circus let's you cut it. The last stuff I cut was on private ground in Wendell so I didn't have to go through BLM or the circus.
