I'm looking for some smaller lengths of bulk chain... partial rolls, etc. Ten feet lengths +/- would be plenty.
I could use some .325 in .063 and .050 and 3/8LP in .050. I have plenty junk to trade.

Need 042 filter and filter cover

Just put an 042 tank/handle on an 048S to replace broken one. The 048S filter cover won't mate to the new tank/handle, as you'd expect, so I'm looking for an 042 filter and filter cover. As far as I can tell, with the current 048S filter mounted, there's nowhere for the filter cover to lock onto, so figure an 042 filter might allow the cover to attach that way. PM if interested in trades or $.

Does your 042 handle have two screw holes for the air filter to attach or does it attach by the 1/4 turn screw? PM sent.

My 048S cover uses the 2-screw method, but the 042 handle has no place for those screws to go. Just got an 042 IPL and see they offered both types of cover for the 042. My new handle/tank uses the 1/4-turn screw. My 048S filter, however, does not have the right kind of mount screw (left-side one) for the filter cover screw to grab, so I'll probably either need the correct style of 042 filter or will have to get the correct screw to put in the filter.

Im off to the dealer,I'll keep a look out for anything interesting.....looking for a 044 or 046 project and he has a pile of saws that he aint gonna fix so figured I'd dig around.

nos 046 project

I snagged a set of new 046 cases off eBay for a great price so I am going to do a build with as many new or like New parts as possible. I need everything but the cases. I got some 041, 034, 394, and 066 remnants and some cash to trade.

Thanks

I need two oil pump shafts for Stihl 046 saws. Maybe some of you have a spare pulled out when you upgraded to a high output unit.
I have plently of Stihl parts to trade, or cash. I won't be paying the dealer $30 for a shaft. They can kiss my white ass.

Tony

Tony,
I think i might be able to help. I have some NOS stuff from a dealer sell out - I will dive in tonight and let you know.

Randy, thanks! Your husky cover is flying over Tahiti at the moment.

Still looking for a fw side case for a 660 (large oil tank) to match this:

I think I have one in the barn. I think the handles were gone and the blade is rusty. You can have it for the shipping if I still have it. I'll check tomorrow.
