Hi all, new member here.
Me and two friends bought a Huskee 35 ton splitter about 2 years ago. We are very happy with the power but realize that we need some type of table to put the partially split pieces instead of all the way down on the ground. Some of the rounds are 36" or more, pretty heavy. We have been stacking 2 rounds one on top of the other, to use as a table but that can get in the way when two of us are lifting up the next round to be split.
Any of you folks have any pictures or ideas of how to build a table that can be used in horizontal mode, but can be removed easily to go to vertical mode?
Thanks for any advice you have, I really enjoy this site.

BKM,
Here's a pic of my splitter, the same as yours, with a work table. I bought it from a guy in Montana on Ebay who has the handle, 33flame. He sells it for about $60. The beauty of his table with your log splitter is that you don't need to drill any holes in the beam of your splitter. You will find that your splitter already has 2 pre-drilled holes. One is visible and the other is under the decal. You simply put some 5/8 bolts through the holes with big washers. And let the lip of the table catch under the bolts. The washers hold the lip or top of the bracket. The bottom of the bracket simply rests on the beam.
I modified his table by having a piece of diamond plate welded to it. This kept real small stuff, like cookies from falling through. But initially, I used a simple piece of plywood held to the bracket with zip ties.
Good luck.

Thanks for the info about the table. Looks like it will handle heavy pieces also. I will see if I can find 33flame on ebay. That is a great pic of the ATV haulin the splitter and the Stihl saws.

Thanks for the compliment. Just wanted to let you know and other people if they are interested. You are lucky to get that Huskee. I just got back from my local Tractor Supply tonight. One of the workers in the yard told me that due to the increase in oil prices, he can't keep a log splitter in stock. They are going as fast as he makes em up. So word to the wise, if you are thinking about a splitter: get off the pot and buy one.
