We bought one this summer....Looked at Hardy, CB, and Hawkens, and finally decided on the Taylor. The dealer had previously installed central heat and air in our other home, he buys hats/shirts from me for his employees, so it was an easy decision for me. The six year warranty seemed poor compared to the other brands until you read the other brands fine print. Also, the CB dealer told me if I didn't buy a stove from him to buy a Taylor then he showed me his Taylor he heated his home with for 20 years.
We do not heat our domestic water with the stove, so we have only had a fire in it for a week or so. Seems to work very well. I figure all the stoves will heat well, but which ones will last for 20 years or longer? Hopefully the Taylor will....
