Hello all, I’m assembling my new Jolly EVO and ran into a problem with unscrewing the grinding wheel bolt which holds the two outer flanges together (see attached pic). The instructions state to turn it counterclockwise but when I do this while holding one or both flanges tightly the bolt just spins the motor shaft and the bolt doesn’t loosen. I don’t want to continue playing with it because I fear I’m going to strip something as both flanges are already becoming looser on the drive shaft from my repeated efforts. The bolt does fully tighten when turned a bit clockwise so at least that’s good.

From my experience with angle grinders and dremels shouldn’t there be a lock button to push in so the motor shaft doesn’t turn, thus allowing me to tighten and untighten such a bolt with ease? I’m thinking the factory tightened it too way much or there’s a mfg defect in that area. I don’t want to try to drill the bolt out so any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks, Stephen

There's a hole in the shaft close to the motor that you stick the small allen wrench or a screw driver in to stop the motor from spinning.
Similar to pushing the lock button on a dremel or grinder but more basic.
