Anyone here have much experience with Tecomec piston/cylinder kits? Have you put enough hours on the saw to know how well they hold up? I'm looking at one for an 028 and at $115 it is tempting to gamble on one. This is a firewood saw-not used everyday but used hard for 6-8 hours at a time when I do run it.

I have use many of these... No problems at all... Even used some of their 036 kits in pro users saws, and they stand the test of time.

Thanks Lakeside. An endorsement from you is about as good as I could ask for. For the price I can save a saw that OEM parts price$ would cause me to part out. Do you know for sure if the 46mm bore Super top end kit will go on my WB that was 42mm bore originally? What will I have to do with the carb to accomodate the xtra cc's? Just a re-tune or a new carb? I'm about 95% sure it will fit but........

Someone posted recently about putting a Super top end on a WB... think it worked out, but you should search for the post.

Carb - just retune it...
