I should know this, but what is the term for when a tree grows a certain direction due to wind always blowing from a certain way? Kind of like phototropism or geotropism, but I'm sure it can't be wind tropism.

Geotropism has to do with gravity,

I've always used the term "windswept" or wind lean.

You are correct in that it is a tropism! I couldn't tell you the name of it though. I bet Jeff "I don't do residential" could if he ever came out of that cute old tree guy shell.
