Termites in the tree?

Looks alike termite mud, but need a few pictures of the critters. Can you dig out the nest, it should be found below the log or stump, be easy to find tons of termite info on the web.

There are no parasitic termites in SC that we know of. Bugs are not the problem in that tree-it's the decay from the huge wound made by a chain saw that is the problem.

What's the owner's goal for the tree?
