Who woulda thunk it? Yesterday I was going to test a husky 2100 I just finished rebuilding, but I just couldnt seem to get it adjusted right. I was a little disappointedat first, then I said to myself "self you should go see your buddy Tommy down at the stihl shop". I Know ol Tommy is a stihl man, but I figured i'd just throw myself on his mercy and see what happens. Well after a little begging and a heavy bribe he said OK. Low and behold after 5 minutes of tuning out at the woodpile, he had that husky runnin like Bill Clinton after a fat chick. So at this point I thought to myself "self, maybe he's handled more of these orange saws than he let's on HMMMMMM." WELL it's a thought anyway. PSSST Don't tell Tommy I done ratted him out.:greenchainsaw:

Don't know whatcha talking bout, never touched a Husky in my life,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

(that saw runs dayumm good)

Man it was all I could do not to laugh out loud. That guy had on his gucci shoes and his "I've never done a hard days work in my life"outfit on. At first he tried to say that it wasn't his fault because the chain wouldnt sit down IN the bar (burred badly) so he just HAD to try the chain the other way. I was thinkin "OK buddy what ever you say", but Tommy was very diplomatic about schoolin this poor misguided lad and even fixed the burring on the chain for free. After this fella left the shop I about fell out. Ive heard stories about this before but this was my first experience with stihlipus inepticus in person.

Was kinda funny wasn't it Hoss. I deal with those type of guys all the time. I try to be as upbeat and as gentle as I can be with them but I must admit at times its hard not to grin and shake my head. All in a days work I say. I sold him that saw so its my job to babysit him as well. I don't mind it at all but as I said its hard at times to keep from grinning, hehe

Is it just me, or is anyone else thinking Tom wanted to sell our fair OP a Sthil, so he just leaned holy hell out of the Husky? :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

No...seriously...Tom seems like he's an honorable kinda guy, and would never do that to someone, customer or otherwise.

p.s. Richen it up anyway...

Hahaha, I don't need to sell Hoss any Stihls, the man has a slew of them Woody. His 2100 was already lean when he brought it by. I merely tuned it by ear and in doing so had to richen it up some. That saw runs pretty durn good I must say. Hoss is eyeing that big 880 I have sitting up on the shelf in the shop. I may have to tune all 40 of his saws out of the kindness of my heart of course. I did put a new tag on that 880, it says I WANNA GO HOME WITH HOSS so who knows, hehehehehe

Dang, Thall, you have to move up to my neck of the woods. Down the street would be fine with me.

Mark

Aww shucks, well thanks. Ya know tuning a Husky isn't a big deal to me, shoot I'll try to help with any brand, makes no nevermind to me, I like all saws. I am partial to Stihl I admit, I make no bones about it but even so I try to help with the others too. Teasing and carrying on about brands on here is one thing but in person everyone is welcome no matter the brand.

Entertainment !
