Hello members, while searching for info to repair a husqvarna chainsaw, i became a member to inspect photos closer. I work in the Big Bend area of FL, (been here since 2001). Im a past ISA arborist (2013), current certified forester (MS). I have experience as a private consultant in forest inventory, and am also a national wildland firefighter. Just wanted to say hello.

Welcome aboard.

I'm a retired ISA Certified Arborist.

A group of vintage aluminum boat enthusiast will be on the Silver River and the Harris chain of lakes mid March.

If you are up to it you could ride along with me. I'd love to hear more about the trees that border the rivers in FL.

Thanks for the offer- the Silver River is fun, im sure you've heard the stories about the Rhesus Monkeys there. I live about 15 minutes from there, and have managed forestry projects in the state park there. (Attached is a post i made public of a boat trip. The best run is from the State Park head spring, travel to Ray Wayside Park (about 3 hrs float trip).

Sometimes we start at Summerall Park in Tavares but mostly we start at Nelson's Outdoor Resort on Hwy 42. I've launched several times at Ray's Wayside ramp. Last year in March I did a solo on Lake Ocklawaha with the gators. Not many of the fellows wanted to do that one. We also do Crescent Lake, Sanford, Astor, etc on the St John's.
