There is a really good Stihl dealership within 10 mins of where I live, so I am getting the MS250 for $269.00. Most of you seemed to feel that it's not just the saw, it's being able to get it serviced, that really makes the difference. Thanks again for all your help!

Any time! Now you know that we expect you to try it out and tell us how you like it!!!

Wazzup bee. Welcome to the forum. Good luck with your new saw, probably a good choice. Just a heads up on posting. You could've posted this under your original thread. That way you keep every bodys comments together, instead of spread out over several threads. Hey, I'm being nice about it. Wait till Brian (treeclimber165) gets home. He'll be on you like Barney on Otis. ;) :D

Nope, I'm just gonna mind my own business and watch the carver's forum wither away. I gotta remember that everyone isn't going to do everything exactly the way I think they should do it.

Good choice on the 025 for the amount you will use it. I think the 025 is one of the exceptions in Stihl's generally lackluster lineup of homeowner saws (orange handles). I keep mine for a backup if my 026 ever dies on me while on a job.
