You're welcome, Spencer. I'm just happy to pass along what has been freely shared with me. A few months ago I was given some different tres cords to try. JPS, Down To Earth Dan and others took it upon themselves to send me rope and I'm just passing it along.

I may give JPS hell, but he's a good guy with a good heart. Thanks, John Paul.

Careful with that T-900

Budroe-
There was a lengthy discussion a couple weeks ago (mostly me and tc165) questioning why bother with high modulus lines like the T-900. I think the texture of the polyester cover is the biggest factor and for a more affordable price, you can have that in, say, New England Sta-Set. It's plenty strong, too!
Before you go buying a spool of T-900, I suggest you check out some polyester/polyester double braid....just to compare.

Nick-
I sent him one piece of T-900 and 2-3 pieces of Sta-Set. I'm using the Sta-Set now and I think I like it better than the T-900 because of the softer hand.
SailNet is running a sale this month on both of these New England ropes and they have free shipping too. I've received excellent service from them.

I heard that NER is putting out a rope with Thechnora as the sheath vs core. This being the higher melting point cord it sounds like it will be better for tres cordage. Just gotta wait for a price.
