I think it was on this forum that I learned this several years ago.
Was out cutting wood again. Working in a firekilled (2 1/2 yrs ago) patch of willow. They are still some green but I suspected beginning to get a bit brittle...well more so than they normally are.
Went to knock down my second tree, about 30"dbh, 50-60 ft tall, good lean. Truck way over that away and leg was tired. I actually picked up the saw then said why be stupid. Put it down and retrieved a chain from the truck. Installed about 12" above cut, made undercut, started back cut and YEP, tried to barber chair on me. First time ever. This is also the first year I ever started chaining the tree.
