Anyone that attempts to install a piston in a Stihl 029,039/290/310/390 cylinder without this little compressor are most often going to break a ring. It can be done without this little 3.00 tool but for 3.00 why chance breaking a ring. Most have never seen this this tool. I just replaced a cylinder and piston in a MS310 on the back porch table, yes another SIDE JOB, only 50.00for this one, not nearly what a tree job makes on Sunday, grrrrrr.

Anyway while I was at it I thought I'd show this little tool that makes putting pistons back in these saws so easy. Have a look see and look close at the cylinder and you can see why its tuff to get the piston back in without this special little ring compressor that locks the rings for you. With this tool its 30 seconds and no cussing at all.

I cuss em too but mainly due to the time it takes. Shoot I could make a 500.00 doing a tree in the time it takes to rip one of those saws apart. That saw took me a hour and a half,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:
