I was more interested in J P Patches then :msp_tongue:

If memory serves (or not) I was in High School when it hit. That was a pretty good blow. The one that took the Hood Canal Bridge down was pretty good too. I was working out at Lake Ozette, and living just west of Port Angeles. Took me a day to get home. A lot of timber got layed down.

I think we were watching Captain Cy--on the east side of the mountains. JP Patches did not exist until cable tv came around, and we never had that.

A lady I worked with said her family went into Portland to shop. They were in a department store when the air raid sirens went off and they were herded into the basement. No explanation was given for a while. Her dad was outside and the doors were locked. I guess he pounded on the doors pretty good and was let in.

Hey maybe that was the beginning of global warming to cause this. LOL ya right. I think most of these natural events we see and go through are cyclic and so are these warm and cold spells.

King 5 TV is doing a special one hour show on the storm this weekend
