Cool, I use a hand truck and stand them up like Matt, but this looks easier, I think I'll try and convert my hand truck into one of these, should be easy enough.

I don't think I'd be moving individual rounds around if I was in the wood selling business. Could come in handy for some scrounging though.

Yep, ain't going to work very well on soft muddy soil.
Nothing works as well in muddy areas as they do in dry areas, but this cart is better than nothing. Also, I have found that by bulling the cart vs. pushing, I can get through rough areas, and even go up stairs.

I don't move large rounds, so I don't see it as real useful (for me). I do my splittin' at the cutting sight, and the splitter is easily movable with one hand (the whole splitter likely weighs less than that round he moved).
But I could see how it could be handy moving large rounds to a stationary splitter, such as in vertical mode... or even moving them up a ramp onto a trailer.

I have a question though... and I ain't tryin' to be a smart-azz... why would you be movin' large round up a stairway??

Ive done a job where the ONLY way to the back yard was up a short flight of concrete steps. No equipment could fit back there.

I used one once, hauling wood to my trailer from a tree service buddy. It had bigger tires. Worked good if you have no other option. I had to push up a hill which sucked. I'm pretty sure I tore something in the back of my legs. That was 4 months ago and the back of both my legs still hurt. I made the mistake of running up the hill with it. NEVER AGAIN!

I have a wheel frame similar to this that I use to haul water thru all sorts of terrain when fighting brush fires. The tire on mine is a 13 inch donut spare with plates with bearings welded to the wheel.
The tank mounted on it holds 20 gallons so if I were to use it for wood I could carry some big rounds.
I have used it, sans tank, to haul deer out of woods a few times.

Pull, don't push!

I load my rounds on the flat end and use a bungie to hold them in place.
Main use for the handcart for me is loading the trailer.
Unload is just a button. LOL

A good trick with the wheels is to fill them with spray insulation.
Makes for much tougher wider tires that can hold much heavier loads without digging into softish ground.

I am sure that cart has it's place for the right person. I have used a tree dolly a few times. Had to remove a large red oak from a fenced in back yard, cut the trunk sections 36" long, they must have been 20-24" dia, once you get the weight balanced you can move with ease(this was on flat ground). Don't kmow what the sections weighed but sure made my life easier that day.
