And here's a few pics I thought were fun.

The Dan and his goggles.

2 possibilties there, narrow set eyes, or overly wide goggles . Seriously though, how well do those work? they keep the big nasties out obviously, but are they better than saftey glasses?

BTW Blakes, your the only other climber I've seen so far that climbs with a figure 8 on his belt... Do you always have that with you? I find it a very handy thing to have at times. How many other members here always have an 8 or some sort of rappelling device at all times?

Count me in, figure 8 on all the time. Could use a Munter on a Krab to rappel but like to have the 8.

Yes very good point, munter is a good hitch to know for anyone that works at heights on a rope... excellent knot, excellent...

I don't always climb with an eight since I learned the munter but if I'm doing anything srt related I always bring an eight. It was a straight walk up and down that dead tree so there was no reason to isolate my lifeline. Used an ascender and prussik on the way up and my eight on the way down.

Yeah them bug eyed spectacles. only thing that works, least they usually stay on. Sure the dust gets through but what are you options? Glasses? Dust goes around them and if I remember corrctly they were a downright hazzard when they go steamy. I can go about 10 minutes before I am to fogged up to see what going on.
I can't really climb around to much with them bugz down as it takes to much works to see but up close and personall is when they shine. Whne the foam padding comes of it exposes to meatal set screws which hold the nose piece on. I usually end up with scratch marks on the center of my forehead with all the up and down I down. I gets to be a habit, whenver I sense my face heading into the thick of it I put my hand up and swipe it down across my face... even when I don't have them on.
I have had tons of pairs of glasses which I no longer have but I only ever had 2 pair of them Bugz and I still have them. Just got to put some tape over them screws:chainsaw:

Or just a little of both.

Something aren't they? Work real good. I usually move around with them up and drop them when cutting. When I am about to charge a thicket of rasberry I just drop them down and go full bore.
