I have to climb
To make ends meet
My whole body hurts
But mostly my feet
Standing here on these spurs
Sixty feet in the air
Watching a thirty foot top sail out
Seem to wash away every care
Standing here high above
On this limbed out spar
Is the most peaceful place for me by far
But back down I go
To climb one more
For that the thing that keeps the wolf
Away from my front door

I like the way your enjambment breaks the syntactic flow. And I must agree, I feel ya, bro'. Cause the rain in Muskegon that's blowin your way will keep you out of the trees all this live long day.
