Well I have not said much about it but about a month ago I worked out a deal on a new Husqvarna 385xp. I finally traded off all my new NOS bars sprockets and husky parts toward the saw. I did not boot much out of pocket for it either. To day was the first day I cut with it. JUST WHERE THE HECK WAS THIS SAW HIDING ALL THIS TIME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have ran the 066's before. The best I can say is that it will be a long time before I get rid of this saw. The 66's I was never happier to see gone. I hate house work so the fact of the constant cleaning of the air filter was a pain. 2 tanks on a 66 and change to a clean filter. I had 3 spares to take cutting. The 385 after one tank had just a hint of dust on it. I also got ti with a 32 in bar. Alot more balanced then the 66 with the same size. I switched it to a 20 for firewood duty. just as balanced. I was never impressed witht eh weight of a 66. The 385 seems lighter. I have a old model 66 in the garage I am selling for a friend, they both are going on the postal scale just to help my curosity. I just can not wait to get a few more tanks through it and then do a muffler mod on it. Its alot more saw then I needed but hen at the time no more 372's was supposed to be shipped.
I will post a pic or two in the next few days.
I know allready I will get burned for putting down the king. But, he left my garage this spring and will never return under my ownership. I also had a 28 WB too. So, my opion is just not of one saw. I like the husqvarna line. Alot cleaner running saws.
