Show on the history channel some time in August about the history on the chainsaw...
Thought id pass it on, ill see if i can find a date.

The History Channel ROCKS! . I was watching a Nuts and Bolts subject on chainsaws's, specifically,, Sthil. It was not boring. They even had some hotsaw champion, but I didn't recognize his name. The factory jobs looked cool...

Thanks for the heads up! I gotta watch it then.

Its just amazing when we look at how far we've come in 60 years or so, from enormous saws that were 200 pounds, to saws that only weigh 19 or so and have much better performance/safety features.

I watched that one. Very interesting. Even saw a couple that I had brief acquaintances with as a kid.

Was that the program that showed a bow saw being used for falling?? That looked scary and like it would be a work out guiding the cut.
