I know that most of you know that safety is the most important thing in a days work, I also know we all sometimes forget that chit happens in 1 second now a 8 hour day.
Gave one of my employees a load of mulch and he asked me if i would cut some stumps off at the ground, no problem, payment was trade in time, since it wasn't a big deal, my chain was dull anyway.
Hmmm muddy mess rotten dirt, rocks..........anyway broke a E clip somehow (mud around clutch) rim sprocket slipped, threw chain, no big deal, back up saw is in the truck........................
I noticed the cut in my chaps when I squatted back down to finish the last stump.
Like I said dull chain, small cut.
Lucky yes, glad I was wearing chaps, you bet your chainsaws.
