Thanks for that Don, I figured when people used a 362 C-M they would like it more. The pre M-Tronic version gave the saw a bad rap. Not that it was a bad saw, just did not have Hp/Wt of the competition. Also like the air filter improvements.

And enjoy that 562, I know that is also a fine saw.

I see your point, that is why I drive Fords (American Co and not Gov Mtr), but I am glad that at least my Stihl was build in the USA. That said, my German one runs great too.
I'm a Stihl guy, but your man crush love affair for the 362 is borderline unhealthy without running the competition. If the 362 had a dick you would suck it :ices_rofl:

You need to educate yourself about Ford.

Ford Motors / Johnson Control: Because Ford Motors moved their production of the Ford Ranger to Brazil and Thailand, Johnson Controls plant in Hudson, which made seats for the Ford Ranger plant in St. Paul, MN has been shuttered and hundreds of jobs have moved to Thailand and Brazil. Johnson Controls also sent their call center jobs in Milwaukee to Manilla.

Ford requested a $9 billion line-of-credit from the government, and a $5 billion loan from the Energy Department. Ford pledged to accelerate development of both hybrid and battery-powered vehicles, retool plants to increase production of smaller cars, close dealerships, and sell Volvo. Ford is in better shape than GM or Chrysler because it had already mortgaged its assets in 2006 to raise $24.5 billion. Although Ford didn't need, and didn't receive any funds, it also didn't want its competition to get the upper hand thanks to the government bailout.

Mike, the 362cm is a good saw & Moody did good by it!

But the xp is a bit smaller, slimmer and maybe faster, handles better for me.

To CR10 ... Funny, I never saw you talk about an unhealthy bias regarding an Orange saw. My comparisons are based on my experience with my 044 and 441 and the more information that comes out, the more it seems I was correct in the first place, so you know where you can stick it if you don't like my opinion.

Your response was rude and crude and you can go crawl back under your rock.

The saw may have had that reputation, but I never found it to be true. It ran as well as most any 60cc saw ever made, including the loved 262XP.

All I'm saying is your broken record opinion is hard to value when you haven't compared the saws side by side.

Don, as I have said before they are both great saws
All I'm saying is your broken record opinion is hard to value when you haven't compared the saws side by side.

And I never saw you fault anyone who trashed my opinion when they had never run a 362 C-M. Where is the objectivity here?

The bottom line here is what I said in the first place is being confirmed by others, and yea, I'm glad to hear it. I took a lot of trash about it at the start.

I did yesterday... One after another.. So did several others... The difference between two in power and speed???
The chain.....
I still prefer the 562, but if I didn't have one already, I'd give the 362 a serious look.. It's got spring AV too, so it's pretty smooth.

That is a good educated opinion and review. Now if Mike could run a 562 then his opinion of the 362 would be more valid and educated versus just running one.

Yes, his response was in very poor taste!

Yes, both ported and a 562xp with just a MM were all close. ;)

Sorry about being repetitive, but sometimes when you are the minority opinion it seems tough to be heard. I've also had several 362 C-M owners send me PMs. I think some of them choose not to enter the fray, and that is a shame. No one should be intimidated from expressing their opinions. However, sometime on this site, supporting a non Orange saw means you had better have thick skin. Growing up in the shadow of NYC I do, but not everyone does.

I appreciate learning more about all saws, and if the 362 C-M did not come out when it did I'm sure I would have purchased a 562.

I also appreciate learning how to make your saws run better, and recently tried some muffler porting.

May your Saw run Strong, May your Gas Last Long, May your Saw Cut Straight you don't get Home Late!
Happy Cutting Everyone.
