I was surfing the Stihl site (no doubt I'm about to buy another saw) and noticed this new deal they have there - http://www.stihlusa.com/productselector/saw_selector.html

I answered 'Gas', 24", 'No' (did not have a 'Hell No!' choice), and 'Cutting Firewood for heating'. They recommend everything from a MS 260 all the way up to a MS 650 for me.

It kind of reminds me of logging on to arboristsite.com and asking 'What kind of a saw for me', but without all the off brand suggestions. :)

I think what Stihl means to say is "get all of the above":hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Fun Quiz!

When I selected over 36" trees, the 361 went away, so I changed that, I get MS- 361, 440 , 441, 460, 660 and an 880 . This would be a good link for people that really don't know what would work for them.

If your going to heat with wood, 270 is the lightest recommended.

I think it would be very fun with all brands, what you expect out of the saw and what you want to pay,,,,,, and one answer being "Squeaky Bee-stinger, go find a Wildthinggy at a garage sale"
