i replied here since i double posted........this is a typical brooklyn back yard. actually it's pretty wide open by brooklyn standards. i had to hop a fence just to take the pic. they took down a fence on the right side to gain a little more room.

Think I'da told the homeowners to rent a log splitter and install a fireplace. Dispose of the tree over the course of a winter or two.
