I finally got around to dying the hickory shirt. I'm thinking I should have ordered a brighter pink than "Bubblegum" as it doesn't look very pink. It is more of a violet color. I couldn't get it to photograph well, but here is the first attempt at this. A friend, who has more experience in dying fabrics was called away unexpectedly so I was on my own. There will be other attempts later on. I think I'll try it on a lighter weight shirt next time.

I'll Officially debut it today. 70% chance of a dry day. Wore it yesterday afternoon. One guy asked me what kind of a laundry mistake did I make and then looked properly horrified when told it was done purposely.

I have one with a nice orange spray pattern you can have. Brand new Bailey's long sleeve hickory. One of the knot bumpers jumped up on my wrapper box to brand some logs and didn't see the can of spray paint nestled amongst the rigging. He was wearing brand new caulks, the redwood length...very sharp. I was standing downwind. I have an orange splotched shirt and he has one boot that glows in the dark. We call him Picasso now.

Mine has blue specks on it after today. It'll get more. I don't use the aerosol now, but I have a shirt with a big red blotch on the sleeve from an aerosol going off. I have had people think I've hurt my arm seriously. When aerosol goes off in the back of your vest in snake country, it can make you jump around a bit more. The chasers up here want paint guns like I use, but the log truckers would throw a fit about the overspray. I was told there are already pink hickory shirts in the Bailey's catalogue. I better check it out before I go into mass production.
