I have a HUSQVARNA 362XP that I love but she hates me. This was my first real saw, and I fell in love with her because i finally had a saw that would hold its own against my uncles 044 and to a little lesser extent my fathers ms460. I blew it up in the spring so naturally I wanted my saw to whip my fathers so I ordered a big bore kit. I installed a the big bore kit and rebuilt the carb, she ran like a champ tuned down to 10,000 for the first two tanks, then i tuned her to 13,500 and the very next time I went into the wood the one of the cylinder bolts rattled loose and killed my flywheel. So I ordered a replacement flywheel used off of ebay and some new bolts. I put her all back together and tried to start her up, on the third pull i heard a nasty noise and then it pulled as if there was no compression. Being about fed up and worried about the aftermarket top end I quickly tore it back down only to find nothing wrong. I posted on here and a lot of you good men gave me some great ideas. Well tonight I went back down to the basement sure I would find something wrong....long story short I did the used flywheel had the built in tooth, well it snapped off. So my piston would just stop and hence build no compression. On sunday Im visiting a friend with a new born who owns a farm, he has a bunch off tires old non-running stihls Im gonna try to buy off of him as he just had a baby and needs cash, I was gonna flip them on ebay. The problem is I need that money to give my two daughters a Decent christmas because the dealership has been too slow to make any chash (flat rate stinks) If any one has a used flywheel off of a 362-365-371-372-385 that is dirt and I mean DIRT cheap please let me know. My wife will kill me if she finds out I sunk more money into my saw. She is gonna kill me when the lil polaun I got of o8f150 shows up, she wont believe me its for my nephew as his firts saw. Guys look around and see if you got one lying around. Thanks Matt

i think you are trying to get me in trouble with the misses:hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange:

nice......won't she be surprised when she opens that box. Then ill have to tell her that I got her a saw to get her involved in something I like. She wouldn't even pick up one of my lil 015's I can only wonder when she is going to file for D

Sorry you're having issues, but stuff happens... especially with used saws. There's a lot to be said for really going through a used saw to try to catch the mistakes the last guy made. Once you find the flywheel and torque it on, I'd double check the clutch also.

Hey Matt, I've got a 372 flywheel setting on the shelf here. PM me your address and it's yours for free. Just consider it an early Christmas present:)

if you were a woman id kiss you, hey I thought you were watching the guys playing in the swamp.

I can't stand to hear any more of this story.

Matt: Come to the Kingston GTG with that saw and I'll figure it out. I have an extra flywheel (free), and we'll get this all sorted out, get the saw running, and make sure your daughters have a good Christmas as well. A bowl of my chili alone is worth the trip.

Kingston is not far from Pine Bush. I dated a ...............Oh cripes I don't want to go there. :givebeer:

spike, i would love to come but right now i don't think its gonna happen. I don't even think im gonna make it to my buddies in ellenville. My grandfather was hospitalized and he is not expected to make it much longer i actually got home from visiting him about 30 min. ago, At 92 he has a great life and has nothing to regret. I thank you so much for the offer. If the other one doesn't come in the mail, which i think it will. ill come up there one saturday to let you sort it out. shoot even when it comes i might let you put it together just to give me some piece of mind. Thank you to all of you guys, this site and my saws has given me a distraction from my Gramps declining health. I hope all you guys are safe tomorrow at the gtg and have a great time Matt

Some real nice guys on the site i see. I wish i could help ya but i do not have any parts for it.

Ill pray for your grand dad and pray for a good christmas for you and your family, its the least i can do.

Btw i lost my grand dad about 6 months ago, i was working on my truck when i got the call. I rushed out to the hospital made sure i could see him before he passed. I got there with 30 mins to spare....Its tough but you will get thru it. Just think of it as he is on vacation and you will see him again one day.

Family always come first. Sorry to hear about your Grandfather Matt.

BTW, there are two different flywheels on those saws, depending on the age. 16 fin and 20 fin. It's a good idea to stick with the version that was on there.

Sorry to hear about your grandad, i lost mine a week ago today. :( It is such a horrible thing to have to go through.

Good luck with your saw mate, there are plenty of good people on here so i am sure you will get it back to it's original greatness!! :)
