I'm excited to hear today that the weather might miss us for Sat. We've got hit hard these last few days, and it looks as though Fri. will be a gully washer. So looks like a good chance to work a full 12 hrs on Sat. Might make up for lost time.:blob2:

Froggy, I don't know what part of the deep south you're in, but this deep south is gonna get hammered.

Some run....

Some have traditional hurricane parties, committed to going down with the ship singing.....

Riding the storm out
Waiting for the thaw out
On a full moon night in the
Rocky Mountain winter
My wine bottle's low
Watching for the snow
I've been thinking about what
I've been missing in the city

{Refrain}
And I'm not missing a thing
Watching the full moon crossing the range
Riding the storm out (4x)

My lady's beside me
She's there to guide me
She says that alone we've finally
Found our home
The wind outside is frightening
But it's kinder than the lightning life in the city
It's a hard life to live
But it gives back what you give

Riding the storm out
Waiting for the thaw out
On a full moon night in the
Rocky Mountain winter
My wine bottle's low
Watching for the snow
I've been thinking about what
I've been missing in the city

{Refrain}
And I'm not missing a thing
Watching the full moon crossing the range
Riding the storm out (4x)

No joke the weather man thinks it might miss the Mtn's. It all depends on Charles and what he decides to do. Keeping your hopes up isn't a bad idea. You never know what might happen.

Rocky, man I guess it's not the same for your place in the south. Kind of looks as though you are going to get drintched to say the least. Good luck!!:dizzy:

Here you go, Froggy. Maybe you won't miss all the fun after all.

Tornadoes Hit North Carolina, Kill 3
Friday, August 13, 2004

STORIES BACKGROUND
•Hurricane Charley 'a Scary, Scary Thing'
ROCKY POINT, N.C. — Tornadoes spun off tropical systems and touched down in eastern North Carolina early Friday, killing three people and injuring more than two dozen others. Buildings also were damaged, and power outages were reported.

One of the victims, a girl, was killed at a trailer park in Rocky Point (search), north of Wilmington, said Andie Thomas, director of the emergency department at Pender Memorial Hospital. She said at least 15 people were hurt in the trailer park, including the girl's parents.

A search team was called to the trailer park because of reports that children might be missing after winds toppled power lines and ripped the roofs off several dwellings.

A clerk at a nearby store said emergency officials have blocked the road to the damaged area.

"People are telling me it looks really bad down there. Trailers are upside down," said Sherry Hall.

Identities of the three victims who were killed weren't immediately available, said Scott Whisnant, spokesman for Cape Fear Hospital (search) in Wilmington. A mass casualty plan was activated to treat the injuries.

Possible tornadoes were also reported in four other communities Friday, with injuries and building damage. At least five homes in Harnett County were destroyed Thursday by severe weather when the remnants of Tropical Storm Bonnie (search) blew across the state.

missing work today because of all this ???? rain. i havnt had a full paycheck in a month

I'm not blind to the facts. I'm just saying the southern Mtn's are looking like they might be in the clear. They were talking earlier that we might get hit hard by these two hurricanes. Just sharing my aspect of it. I'm not over looking the facts at all.
