She ordered my Christmas presents from Bailey's and guess what... they shipped them to the billing address (home) instead of to her work address. When I walked back in from the Fedex truck last night with what was obviously a 24" bar for the 361 and another box that most likely held the chain for it and a couple of other goodies, she was beside herself. She emailed Bailey's and called them a bunch of "dorks". :ices_rofl:

Thats just to funny.

I feel for her.. she tried so hard.. Now she will hopefully feel like she will have to get you something else, you know to unwrap Christmas morning.

I've had that happen to me a couple of times. I ordered a cant hook from LogRite telling them to send NOTHING to my house, not even a receipt. They sent the cant hook to my house. I wasn't miffed at them, Kevin is too nice of a guy for that, but I did give him some grief.

Also, when I ordered my Alaskan. They shipped the Alaskan to the office like I asked, but sent a shipment notification to my house.

Otherwise, been okay.

Something simple screwed up again. Pure incompetence.:help:

Well, Santa dropped off my Christmas 372xpg a month early, and noone is sorry for that.....:blob2: :blob2:

....we just have to wrap in in some fancy paper, and put it under the tree on christmas eve......:rockn: :rockn:

With all of the credit card fraud, Christmas shopping rush, automated billing and shipping, the human element, it is a wonder that orders get processed correctly. A lot of businesses will only ship to the billing address to help prevent fraud. Haywire, did Bailey's ship the exact stuff your wife ordered?

Ill send you my address Haywire and she can just ship it to my house next time. I promise Ill take real good care of it for you.

Congrats with the 361, it is a really good saw....:rockn: :rockn:

....but why the long bar - you aren't on the West coast, I believe?????

:greenchainsaw:
Maybe Ian has some "West Coast" dogs and needs the bar length.:D We do, believe it or not, have some nice sized hardwoods in the Mid West. Not as many as we would like but we have some.;)

I suspect that the 361 is a bit small for a 25" bar in large hardwood, but what do I know.........(haven't tried it).......:greenchainsaw:

I've been hinting around to the G/f that i really want a chainsaw mill. I almost ordered on a couple weeks ago and she was really intent on me not ordering it..... I then noticed my baileys catelg is missing....Hmmmm

i can only hope......

Did you highlite the one that you want?:D

I have been having all my girlfriends christmas gifts shipped to my parents house thinking I could avoid a similar situation. We went down to their house last Thursday night for dinner. While we were at the table the UPS man showed up with a box clearly marked on the outside from a turbo company. All of this in plain view of the dinner table. This after I just got done talking to her on the ride down about what kind of performance she would like to get out of her truck..... It's the thought right....:bang:

The 24" bar is for occasional use only, kinda like the 20" bar I have for my 346. The chain I had on my wish list was full skip semi-chisel, so that should help keep chain speed up. I hate having to reach over to cut the back side of a round when bucking the occasional big one and I'm an amature at felling, so if my bar doesn't have enough reach for a single pass at the stump I'm pretty much flailing around going from one side to the other getting the back cut done. I've read about a "sweeping" technique for making back cuts with short bars but am chicken to try it as I'm afraid I'll cut the hinge clean thru. I wouldn't want to be JB Welding my case (or my head or leg) back together like someone we know :dizzy:
