It appears as though Madsen has the wheels in stock, I was just on their website but keep in mind that you can purchase surface grinding wheels in about any width you want. Problem with them is the arbor hole is for surface grinding machines, not a small grinder with a small arbor hole and all surface grinding wheels must be statically balanced on a wheel stand prior to use. Each of my surface grinding machines has it's own balancing stand I might add. I'm thinking the RPM on a surface grinding machine will be substantially higher that the Bar Tool spindle RPM.

Have not needed to try, the shop had a case of disc`s of each size, doubt we ever wore more than one of either size out. Each case had 12 discs in them when new if memory serves me. Only heard/ read there was some still being made, possibly Stens or Oregon carried them but I never searched .
I called around last year and never was able to locate any.

They definitely are becoming scarce to buy from a supplier, would think one would see more of them for sale on eBay once in a while. Specialty Motors was the last place I heard of that still had some specifically for the Bar Shop machine, that was likely 5 or so years ago.

I was able to pick up a couple of discs for the bar shop several years ago. I've lost track of them since but they are around here somewhere.

I have a barshop machine but haven't done anything with it yet, it has the fractured remains of a disc in it now.

I have ground/dressed the bar groove in a few bars with the disc installed in my table saw but that is not an ideal way to do it.
